We have two new 2007 4WD 6L80E transmissions that have never been installed. These are new units with a new torque converter not rebuilt. Cost $2799.00. Hummer H3, Colorado / Canyon

We have several new 2010  2WD and 4WD 4L60E transmissions that have never been installed. These are new units with a new torque converter not rebuilt. They fit the five cylinder L5 motor either 3.5L or 3.7L. They have been upgraded to our level 3 700-E Raptor transmissions. Some of the upgrades are a Superior intermediate servo that is 35% larger than stock, Superior overdrive servo that is 50% larger than stock, Sonnax larger diameter pressure boost valve that will yield a 10 to 15% higher line pressure, Alto Carbonite Band with thicker hardened anchors that holds in second and overdrive, and an Alto Red Eagle 3-4 Power Pack with eight clutches and full thickness Kolene steels. These are the newer type 4L60E transmissions with a input speed sensor. You can tell if you have an input speed sensor by the blue color of the case connector, see picture. Also needed for servicing the 6L50E in the Cadillac CTS and the 6L90E in GM 2500 pickups.

The 6L80E ushered in a new era as GM’s rear-wheel drive workhorse. A fascinating design that uses a Lepelletier-inspired gear train; it also uses a large aluminum center support which must be removed to gain access to the low/reverse clutch pack and the rear planet assembly.

The center support houses the 2-6 clutch pack on the front side and the low/reverse on the rear. The size of the support and the amount of stress of the two clutch packs it contains made necessary the use of a rather large, extremely stout snap-ring to hold it firmly in place.

Therefore, a rather large and stout pair of pliers is required! Until just recently none were available. To remove the snap ring many have found it necessary to cut into the case from the bottom to gain access with a screwdriver and hammer to "pop" it out of the groove.

Leverage is the name of the game when this much pressure is in play. The engineers burned the midnight oil working through many designs before arriving at what you see. The heavy-duty tips are replaceable, available through your regular tool truck. These are 26 1/2 inches long. This is a very hard job without this tool. Cost $129.00

Attention C4 Corvette Owners

#C480. 4L80E in C4 Corvette Adapter (1984 - 1996). Swap your 700R4 / 4L60E transmission to the much stronger 4L80E transmission with our new double strength case hardened output shaft and adapter kit. At this time we have in development an adapter kit for the C4 Corvette to replace your 700R4 / 4L60E transmission with the much stronger 4L80E transmission. This 4L80E transmission will be the same length as your 700R4 / 4L60E transmission making it possible to reuse your existing 27 spline driveshaft and C-beam. All that needs to be changed on the 4L80E transmission is the tail housing and output shaft. The full manual shift model works without a computer. This tail housing is made of 6061T6 aircraft aluminum. Cost $599.00
